Today marks the celebration of Sanctity of Human Life! As a new mother to a beautiful daughter, my heart spills over with joy that we have a special day to ponder what a miracle human life is. We have an awesome Creator and as believers CANNOT deny the fact that life begins in the womb.
Jeremiah 1:5 states, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee…”
Psalm 139:13-14 reads, “…thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
If you were to look up “sanctity of human life” in the Wikipedia encyclopedia you would find that it describes it as: the idea that human life is sacred and holy and precious. Life is just that!
Sanctity of Human Life was made an annual proclamation by President Ronald Reagan noting the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade (when the Supreme Court issued a ruling that guaranteed women access to abortion). President Reagan was a firm pro-life believer. President Bush continued this Sanctity of Human Life proclamation during presidency; however, President Clinton discontinued the practice for all 8 yrs of his presidential term. What a shame!
As I remember the moment that I found out I was pregnant and expecting a little child, I was overwhelmed realizing how blessed I was! God had chosen to “breathe life” into me and give me the privilege of carrying a tiny soul for 9 months as He created her and fashioned her into the beautiful little girl she became!
Life, without a shadow of a doubt, began at conception.
A precious soul was born
And now this little life just celebrated her 5 month birthday!
God’s Little Lamb
“Thank you Jesus for desiring fellowship with us and creating us in Your own image. Thank you for creating “little blessings” that you give us the privilege of raising for your honor and glory. Thank you that life comes from Your hand. Thank you that you rule and reign supremely and you will conquer evil and defeat the enemy once and for all. May we stand strong and hold to our beliefs and convictions in this world that tries so desperately to deny the fact of Your existence and sovereignty. You are worthy of all praise!”
It’s been over two months since the man and I were married! Time is certainly flying by! I’m sorting through hundreds of ceremony pictures, bridal party pictures, reception pictures, and bride/groom pictures. It is quite the task for sure! But very enjoyable! Brings back such good memories that I never want to forget. I’m just trying to narrow down my favorites to put together a photo book – whew!
Remembering the events of that special day are so endearing to my heart! The ceremony was so very special to both my husband and I. We wanted our ceremony to bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ because it was only because of Him that our dreams came true! He deserves all the praise!
As guests arrived and were seated, a slideshow was played featuring favorite verses that had been special to us down through the years along with excerpt’s from my husband’s journal during his searching and waiting for God to bring him a wife. As guests watched this presentation, songs of praise could be heard throughout the sanctuary. My father officiated the ceremony but first a meditation was given by my pastor. Special songs were played and sung during the ceremony, a time of prayer and blessing from our parents was had, a time of prayer between us as husband and wife during the lighting of the unity candle was touching, and before it all ended a shout-out of Jeremiah 33:11 from the wedding party and entire congregation was given. To hear everyone exclaiming in unison a praise to the Lord was phenomenal! It was so very special and seemed so very perfect! What a day it was!
I thought you may all enjoy a peek into what our wedding was like. So here are a few pics of the ceremony.

Perhaps more pictures of the reception and formal portraits will be coming soon! 😉
